Product Description
It's tough as nails and built like a brick
It's absolutely stuffed with connectivity and features while offering superb battery life. And it has very little competition as it's the one of a very few big-brand, fully rugged convertible tablet/laptops that's widely available.

The Toughbook 19 falls under Panasonic's fully rugged moniker, meaning that it will stand up to almost anything. That includes being dropped from almost a metre, being showered with water, being thrown in the mud and being dragged through dust and sand. It's therefore no surprise that ToughBooks are used by the US military, where the conditions are often inhospitable to say the least. In fact Panasonic was keen to mention that a ToughBook saved a soldier's life during Desert Storm!
In addition to being physically impenetrable, the Toughbook 19 offers some key security features: TPM v1.2 circuitry, Intel's vPro technology for easier remote management, Computrace theft protection built into the BIOS, a cable lock slot, and an optional fingerprint, and Smart Card reader.
The Toughbook 19 supports concealed mode, which allows users to turn off all lights on the machine--including the display and LEDs--by pressing a function key. Users can also customize which lights get turned off. This is ideal for military and law enforcement use, for those times when you don't want your laptop's lights to give away your position.

Like a new toughbook for a small fraction of the price
My use for this computer doesn't involve the internet except as long as it took to download one piece of software. I only network with one device at a time and run that one piece of software to control it. But I do need it to be durable even with occasional drops, viewable in challenging light conditions, easy to prop up in odd places, relatively quick and super reliable. This is a bargain for my needs.
