The keyboard and touchpad are a joy to use, and the screen works well in the less than ideal circumstances of bright sunlight.

This is clearly a robust laptop able to survive the harshest environments, whether that means withstanding the elements or just a hectic household, with curious toddlers spreading jam everywhere between throwing toys around and grabbing at wires.

    MIL-STD-810G certified for 3' drops as well as resistant to shock, dust, vibration, altitude & other environmental factors. The Toughbook 53 also comes equipped with a spill-resistant keyboard and multi-touch touchpad as well as standard integrated DVD drive. A sunlight-viewable touchscreen protected by a replaceable film screen is also an integrated option.

      set up and ready to use. I just loaded my soft wear for work and got going. Dell & HP were twice the price for what I got.
